Awal tahun 2006 saya pernah nonton film ini, walaupun terhenti dibagian awal ketika salah satu pengikut opus dei (silas-red) mulai melakukan aksi pembersihan dosa dengan cara yang menurut saya sangat menyiksa manusia secara jasmaniah. Karena cerita yang tidak mudah untuk saya pahami dan sangat scientific, sehingga tidak mudah dicerna oleh orang awam seperti saya, akhirnya saya dan teman memutuskan untuk nonton film lain saja. Dan baru-baru ini saya mendapatkan buku the da vinci code dan mencoba untuk membacanya kemudian menonton kembali film-nya.
Terlepas dari kontroversi yang ditimbulkan serta hal-hal yang berbau religi ( agama adalah keyakinan masing-masing, sebagai manusia biasa saya merasa tidak berhak mengomentari keyakinan personal tersebut-red) menurut saya karya Dan Brown ini menarik. Dilihat dari sisi seni, Dan Brown membawa saya mengagumi hasil karya manusia melalui seni lukis maupun seni simbol/kode yang luput dari perhatian saya.
Beberapa tahun lalu ketika masih di bangku sekolah, seorang guru seni mempertunjukan kami karya – karya picasso, surrealis, dll. Walaupun tidak terlalu mengerti seni, namun bukankah secara harfiah manusia memang diciptakan untuk berbuat seni??? Seperti yang pernah dikatakan oleh guru saya, ” …seni adalah segala perbuatan manusia yang menimbulkan keindahan…”, membuat saya berangan-angan seandainya seluruh manusia memiliki kemampuan untuk selalu menciptakan seni tentunya bumi ini akan selalu melahirkan keindahan..
