ada Hati….
Seorang kakek tua berjalan dengan terlunta-lunta, seolah perjalanan yang telah ditempuh sangatlah jauh. Hanya berbekal tongkat dan buntelan, kakek, terus menerobos penatnya polusi serta bisingnya suara kendaraan. Sesekali berhenti hanya untuk menyeka keringat yang membasahi wajahnya. Sesampai di persimpangan, kakek tersebut berhenti. Matanya menatap tajam ke arah gedung yang tak indah lagi. PD Pasar Jaya, itulah orang-orang kerap memanggilnya. Dibukanya tas, dan dibacanya secarik kertas. Lama kakek itu membacanya, hingga selesai, kembali langkah menyelusuri lika-liku pasar. Berdiri di depan kios sayur, sang kakek menyahut meminta semua barang yang berada di dalam daftar belanjaannya. Setelah selesai dengan yang satu melangkah kembali ke kioas yang lainnya. Semakin ke dalam pasar, sekuat tenaga pula yang dikeluarkannya. Berulang kali sang kakek terdesak dan terhimpit dalam kerumunan orang. Setelah lama bergulat dan bertahan, akhirnya sang kakek dapat menyelesaikan tugasnya. Sisa tenaga, sang kakek kembali ke rumah, kali ini perjalanan tak semudah kedatangannya. Belum saja langkahnya keluar dari area pasar, sekumpulan pemuda kekar dengan tato tergambar di tubuhnya menghentikan langkahnya. “Mari kami bawakan, kek,” sahutnya dengan memaksa. Sang kakek hanya terdiam, matanya memandangi satu-persatu wajah yang mengelilingi dirinya. “Lepaskan, kek !”. Genggamannya sangat erat, sedikit pun tak ada rasa takut yang terlihat di wajahnya. “Malah melawan,” teriak pemuda lainnya. Sebuah pukulan tepat mendarat di wajanya, tubuhnya langsung tersungkur ke tanah. Tak ingin kalah begitu aja, tubuhnya yang renta mencoba melawan. Namun, sebuah tendangan membuatnya kembali tersungkur. Hingga beberapa kali melawan akhirnya tiba sampai sisa tenaga terakhir. Kali ini tubuhnya yang renta tak mampu berdiri, nafasnya terengah, wajahnya pun lebam, seluruh bajunya kotor oleh kotoran bergambarkan kaki. “Seandainya tidak melawan, mungkin tidak akan seperti ini, kek !”. Habis semua seluruh belanjaan serta uang yang dibawanya. “Kenapa kalian lakukan ini padaku,” sahut sang kakek dengan sisa tenaganya. “Kau mau tahu, kek ! Hanya dengan cara seperti ini kami bisa hidup,” sahut Dula pemimpin kelompok. “Kau juga mau tahu, de. Saya harus berjalan puluhan kilo, berdesakan dengan ratusan orang, serta menahan rasa lapar untuk mejalani kehidupan ini. Saya hanya pedagang sayuran, untungnya pun tidak banyak. Sudah empat hari saya tidak berjualan karena hasil jualan yang lalu habis untuk menyembuhkan penyakit asma,” jawab sang kakek tersebut. Nafas semakin terengah-engah, tubuhnya pun layu jatuh ke tanah. Kini, Sekumpulan pemuda tersebut hanya terdiam. “Bagaimana bisa seorang kakek tua seorang diri dengan penyakit asma yang indapnya, mampu berjalan sejauh ini. Apalagi harus berjualan sayur mayur setibanya di rumah nanti, ” sahut pemuda tersebut dengan menggenggam dompet milik sang kakek tersebut. Tak lama akibat tak dapat menahan rasa sakitnya, sang kakek tersebut melihat dunia untuk yang terakhir kalinya. Yaa, meninggal…. kakek tersebut telah tiada. Kini hanya kenangan yang tergambarkan. Sekumpulan pemuda tersebut segera meninggalkan seorang diri. Semilir angin menerpa rambutnya yang sudah putih, kini dirinnya hanya satu kenangan bahwa dulunya pernah seorang kakek, seorang diri, dengan penyakit asma, melawan pemalak, berjuang agar tetap hidup dengan berjualan sayur mayur.

But old George spoke from the heart, and believed what he said, and really, he actually did what he said he was going to do, even if it wasnt popular, yet necessary for our country.
