me and my bodyguard part II
Dengungan mesin mobil menderu halus, tak lama kemudian suara itu berhenti.
“ah…akhirnya sampai juga” ucapku dalam hati, menghembuskan nafas. Aku segera melirik jam guess terbaruku yang betenger manis di lengan kiriku. Sudah pukul 7.45, tinggal 15 menit lagi waktu yang tersisa bagiku dan Russ untuk memasuki gedung sekolah sebelum pintu utama di tutup.
“gue duluan, kalo ada apa-apa lo tinggal telpon gue.” Ucap Russ dingin dan melangkah keluar dari mobil meninggalkan aku sendirian di dalam mobil.
Aku yang diperlakukan seperti itu hanya bisa diam terpaku melihat Russ keluar begitu saja tanpa melakukan sesuatu untukku. Biasanya bodyguard-bodyguardku yang terdahulu selalu membukakan pintu untuk diriku, tapi tidak dengan Russ, ia malah keluar begitu saja dengan terburu-buru dan mengacuhkan aku.
“sudahlah, aku bisa membukanya sendiri” gumamku kecewa dan keluar dari mobil.
“hei !” teriak seseorang, menepuk pundakku, kaget.
“Britanny Christie ! kau membuatku kaget tahu !” ujarku kepada orang yang belum lama mengagetkanku.
Dia adalah Brittanny Christie gadis berusia 16 tahun dan berdarah campuran Inggris-Indonesia. Ayahnya adalah seorang direktur dari sebuah perusahaan asing yang cukup ternama di Indonesia, oleh karna itu tak heran ia dapat bersekolah di sekolah yang mahal tak terhingga seperti sekolah ini.
“hahaha ! maaf-maaf gw kan sengaja, lebay ah lo…yang penting kan lo masi idup tauk !” Brit membela diri.
“yee, bukannya gitu ! nanti kalo suatu saat gw tiba-tiba jantungan karna lo kagetin gimane non” balasku asal
“ya mati ! amin kalo lo masuk surga ra !huahahahaha” jawabnya lebih ngasal dan tertawa meledekku.
“heh, kebanyakan ketawa pagi-pagi bisa bikin gila bego !hahaha.eh, by the way brit, lo udah tau belom kalo hari ini gw udah mulai di pakein bodyguard baru lagi ?” Raut muka Brit seketika itu juga berubah mendengar pertanyaanku.
“wow ! kok cepet banget sih ?!terus terus gimana bodi baru nih ?” tanya Britanny bersemangat sembari berjalan berdampingan denganku.
“gimana apanya ???gak gimana-gimana lah. Nih, lo tau Russ ga ?yang anak kelas 3 itu loh..” jawabku tak kalah bersemangat.
“Russ ??yang bokapnya satu perusahaan sama bokap gw itu ?” tanya Britanny makin penasaran.
“uhuh” jawabku santai
“hah ??tunggu deh, jangan bilang kalo…” Britanny sengaja menghentikan kalimatnya.
“yeah, he’s my new bodyguard. Okay ?” Lora mengiyakan maksud tatapan mata Brit
“damn ! how could he ???wow !dia ganteng honey” ucap Brit yang masih tak bisa menutupi rasa kagetnya karna mendengar pernyataan Lora tadi.
“yeah,he is…sangat malah..hehehe” aku tersenyum
“yeah, tapi lo tau Apple gak ra ?”
“Apple ?buah apel ?” jawabku polos
“no ! bukan sayang !. Duh, kenapa lo jadi bego amat sih Lora…Apple loh…yang satu kelas sama kita…Biology. Remember ?”
“Apple yang rambutnya brownish black ??yang pendiem itu ?”
“iya-iya, dia !” Brit terlihat lebih bersemangat kali ini, seperti ingin memberi tahu sesuatu.
“okay, okay, so..dia kenapa ?” aku juga jadi ikut-ikutan penasaran.
“dasar temen gw yang satu ini gaptek ! lo kemane aje non ? kayaknya orang-orang juga udah pada tau dari jaman bahala, kalo Russ itu digossipin suka sama Apple, dan lo tauk ga sih ra ??kayaknya gossip tentang dia bener deh” jawab Britanny berapi-api.
Hah,aku sedikit putus asa mendengarnya. Tapi tidak terlalu kuhiraukan juga sih, aku masih sedikit belum yakin tentang gossip tersebut.
“belom tentu juga kan ?emang lo tau kalo itu bener darimana ??” tanyaku.
“abis tadi gw liat Russ nyamperin Apple di taman belakang gitu, ra. Trus gw liat mereka lagi duduk berduaan , bener-bener kayak orang pacaran gitu lah” jawab Brit.
“oh…mungkin emang bener kali. I don’t care either” ujar Lora tak bersemangat.
Padahal pada kenyataannya aku sungguh perduli dengan hal tadi, karna aku sadar semakin kecil peluang bagiku untuk membuat Russ berpaling kepadaku. Tapi aku sadar bahwa diriku ini bukanlah siapa-siapa bagi Russ, maka itu aku tidak berkomentar lebih lanjut lagi tentang pembicaraan tadi. Aku lebih memilih untuk diam dan mengalihkan pembicaraan, hinga kami sampai di ruangan kelas jam pertama kami.

“hoahm” aku menguap seusai pelajaran terakhirnya berakhir, ngantuk sekali rasanya.
Sambil menunggu Russ menghampiriku, aku mencuri-curi kesempatan untuk tidur sejenak
Baru juga rasanya mengedipkan mata, Russ sudah berdiri menungguku merapikan buku-bukuku yang tersebar berantakan di meja. Ah, mengapa cepat sekali ia datang ?tidak tahu apa akau masih mengantuk ! huh !. Mau tak mau dengan ogah-ogahan aku merapikan buku-bukuku yang berantakan di meja.
“lelet banget sih ! gw kan uda bilang gw gak suka nunggu, sini !” ujar Russ kasar, lalu merapikan semua buku-bukuku yang berantakan di meja. Tak butuh waktu yang lama bagi Russ untuk membereskan semua buku-buku dan peralatan sekolahku yang berserakan.
Dengan cekatan Russ menahan buku-bukuku dengan sebelah tanganya dan berjalan mengikuti langkahku di belakang ke arah loker. Yah, memang begitu peraturan yang telah ditetapkan, selama Russ masih menjadi bodyguardku ia harus selalu bersamaku sebisa mungkin, harus menjadi supir untukku dan melindungiku dari bahaya, tak terkecuali membawakan buku-buku juga tas sekolahku.
“Oi ! jalannya lama banget sih !” ucapku kesal karna Russ yang berjalan sangat lamban di belakang mengikuti diriku. Bahkan saat aku berbalik Russ masih ketinggalan jauh di belakang, sibuk dengan handphonenya.
Russ yang menyadari hal tersebut segera berlari mendampingi Lora, tapi tetap tidak terlepas dari handphonenya.
“bukan gw yang jalannya kelamaan, tapi lo yang kecepetan ! udah,ayo jalan lagi !” ujar Russ kembali mengikutiku dari belakang.
aku acuh tak acuh mendengar ucapannya, capai bertengkar mulut dengannya.
“oi !” sambut Raka, anggota kepresidenan sekolah yang sudah nongkrong duluan di ruangan OSIS begitu kami sampai.
“oi !sori ya lama,hehe” balasku tersenyum.
“santai aja, hari ini kan kita gak ada kerjaan apa-apa, gue juga ke sini cuma buat ngabsen doing kok” Raka menyeringai.
“Dasar lo emang !”. Tak sengaja mataku tertuju pada sebuah rangakaian bunga berwarna-warni indah yang di letakan di atas meja kerjaku. Itu bagian baiknya tapi bagian buruknya, Raka menyadari apa sedang kulihat.
“ah…itu. Titipan dari Albert tadi tuh ra buat lo !hahaha” Raka tertawa cekikikan. Kesalnya diriku.
Rasanya mendengar nama “Albert” saja aku langsung bergidik ngeri, bahkan masih terasa hingga aku duduk di kursi kerajaanku. Albert Hermes Thorn – nama yang tak asing lagi di telingaku – ia adalah anak pertama dari sahabat dekat ayahku, Edward Columbus Thorn, dia juga merupakan satu-satunya pewaris tunggal perusahaan Om Edward yang kebetulan adalah sebuah perusahaan supermarket kecil waralaba yang tersebar luas di kawasan Asia Timur. Tapi sayang, ia bodoh. Ia lebih memilih mendekatiku yang sudah jelas menolaknya mentah-mentah daripada mengejar nilai-nilai pelajarannya agar ia bias segera lulus dari sekolah ini dan meneruskan perusahaan megah ayahnya. Sebenarnya, aku tidak ingin mengakui ini, tapi memang pada kenyataannya Albert bukanlah seorang yang buruk rupa. Sejujurnya ia tampan dan harum, ia rapi, dan dia tidak bodoh dalam hal apapun alias multitalented. Maka itu tak heran bila kalian menemukan pengakuan beribu-ribu – yah,beribu-ribu mungkin agak berlebihan – wanita yang rela mati hanya untuk bisa menjadi pacarnya, hanya untuk bisa menjadi pacarnya saja loh !
Tak lain dengan Russ, ia juga sama seperti Albert. Diidolakan oleh para wanita dimanapun ia berada. Hanya saja ia tidak mau tahu akan setiap wanita yang mengejar-ngejar dirinya, ia hanya melihat satu wanita. Ia hanya melihat Apple, yang bahkan otaknya pun tidak jauh lebih pintar dari pada aku.
“woy !” gebrakan Raka membuatku tersentak kaget. “Sadar woi sadar !hahaha”
Dasar ni anak betawi satu !demen banget sih ngagetin orang !
“Damn you !kaget gue tauk !” umpatku.
“hahaha !lagian bengong sih lo !hahaha” ia berhenti sejenak,lalu melanjutkan. “minggu ini lo tugas bersih-bersih ruangan kan ya ?” tanyanya santai.
“masa sih ?” tanyaku bloon.
“heeh ! kalo gitu gw balik duluan ya beb !happy working !” senyumnya, kemudian meninggalkanku sendirian di ruang OSIS. Kulirik jam dinding yang tergantung di sudut ruangan.
Jam sudah menunjukan pukul empat saat itu, aku pun mulai bergegas melakukan jatah tugas bersih-bersihku minggu ini. Tapi rasanya seperti ada yang kurang di ruangan ini, aku berpikir sambil terus melamun di atas meja. Ah ! Russ tidak ada bersamaku sekarang ! hah,kemana lagi sih dia ??membuatku repot saja. Aku segera merogoh kantong rok sekolahku dan mengambil handphone untuk meneleponnya.
“halo”
buset, galak banget Russ jawabnya. Apa dia lupa siapa yang majikan dan siapa yang bawahan ?!
“dimana lo ?” tanyaku tak kalah galak
“lo dimana ?nanti gw kesana”
cih !berlagak sekali sih.
“gw lagi di ruang OSIS, dan gue mao sekarang juga lo kesini, got it ?” lalu aku langsung memutus telepon.
“apple…” gumamku kecil, mencoba memulai pembicaraan dengan Apple yang duduk manis di sebelahku, membaca buku.
Apple sepertinya menyadari gumamanku.
”kau memanggilku ?”
”uh..yah” nada suaraku mulai tidak jelas.”uhm..”
aku terlalu gugup. Ayolah, kau harus mengucapkannya Russ, HARUS ! hanya satu kalimat,setelah itu akan selesai,tak ada lagi kalimta lain yang harus kau katakan.
”ya ?” Apple menunggu sepatah kata terucap dari mulutku yang pilu ini.
”uh…Apple,aku…”
SHIT ! aku gugup sekali,kata-kata itu seakan tertahan di ujung bibirku
”aku…”
I MAKE SOME GOOD GIRLS GO—
Ringtone Cobra starship yang sengaja ku pasang dengan volume kencang tiba-tiba berbunyi dari dalam kantong celana panjang sekolahku. Mengagalkan semua rencanaku.
Ringtone itu segera terputus begitu aku mengangkatnya
“halo” jawabku kesal, sementara Apple masih menunggu perkataanku dan memandangiku
”dimana lo ?” balas suara di seberang telepon
Ah ! mau nagapain sih anak ini ?!
“lo dimana ?nanti gw kesana”
“gw lagi di ruang OSIS, dan gue mao sekarang juga lo kesini, got it ?”
pembicaraan pun langsung di matikan oleh Lora.
”uh, Apple” ucapku setelah selesai menelepon
“ya ?”
“sepertinya ada urusan yang harus ku selesaikan sebentar, tak apa kan ka—”
ucapanku di potong olehnya
”tak apa, kamu beresin dulu aja aku gak apa-apa kok di tinggal sendirian” Apple tersenyum
”bener ?kamu mau nunggu aku sebentar ?”tanyaku tidak yakin
”iya,gak apa-apa kok, kalo sempet aku nunggu kamu kok di sini”
”yaudah,aku pergi dulu ya, kalo ada apa-apa aku mau kamu telepon aku, oke ?”
setelah aku meyakinnya dan ia meyakinkanku, aku mulai berlari ke tempat Lora berada.
Ah, mengapa Lora selalu saja mangacau ?! padahal tinggal sedikit lagi aku dapat menyatakan perasaanku kepada Apple. SUCH A BAD DAY .
Tak butuh lama bagiku berlari menuju ruang OSIS, aku pun membuka pintu dengan napas yang sedikit ngos-ngosan
”ada apa lo manggil gue ?”ucapku galak begitu memasuki ruangan
hanya ada Lora dan aku di dalam ruangan ini, ia sedang duduk dengan santai di bangku singgasananya. Menunggu diriku sepertinya.
Lora kaget mendapati aku telah sampai di ruangannya.
”hei !gak bisa ketuk pintu dulu apa lo ?”ucapnya agak ketus
”buat apa ?emang ada tulisannya ?” balasku ketus
”buat ngajarin lo sopan santun !ga ada sopan-sopannya lo jadi cowo !” balas Lora tak mau kalah
”dasar lo sok tau”
”oh ya ?terus apa namanya kalo buka pintu ga ngetuk dudlu dan pergi ga bilang-bilang hah ?itu yang lo sebut sopan Russ Chlore yang terhormat ?”
aku terdiam, tak bisa membalas
”none of your business” jawabku singkat,lalu melanjutkan.“lo manggil gue ke sini cuma buat berantem?”
“hei boy,kalo gue mau mau berantem, banyak orang yang nantangin gue di luar sana, so gak perlu repot-repot manggil elo, jadi gak usah sok penting lo” ia berhenti sebentar. “and you have to know ya,hari ini gue lagi males banget karna sikap nyolot lo itu jadi bisa tolong beres-beresin ruangan ini ?sekalian di bersihin juga”
“Cuma buat itu doang ?” tanyaku, kaget mendengar jawaban Lora
SHE REALLY RUIN MY LIFE TODAY
“mau di tambah ?”
“no, thanks” jawabku singkat, jelas dan padat.
Ruangan ini berantakan banget ! aku tak mau terlambat lagi kali ini dan segera mulai membersihkan ruangan. Semoga saja Apple masih menungguku.
