Kuseret kakiku dengan wajah memerah sangat malu.
Tepukan di pundak membuyarkan pikiranku yang sedang mereka-reka alasan
“Kok malah jalan, lari dunk.. males banget sech? teriak Hestu sambil
terus berlari mendahului langkahku.
“Perutku sakit” jawabku sambil berteriak pula. “Kenapa” sahut pak Imam menjejeri langkahku.
“Sakit perut, Pak” jawabku sambil tertatih-tatih. “Ya sudah, jalan saja.”
ujar pak Imam sambil melihat ke perutku.
Tak sabar ingin segera masuk ke kelas, kuseret kakiku dengan cepat.
Setelah merasa aman, kubuka sepatu yang jadi penghalangku kali ini.
Ibarat harimau yang sedang mengaum, sepatu kiriku menganga hampir
separuh di bagian ujungnya. Bagaimana ini???? Beli lem kastol untuk menambal
sepatu pun duitku tak cukup. Apa nanti aku harus pulang tanpa memakai sepatu?
